- Design tool-use interfaces and decide what an agent is permitted to do
- Architect memory and context strategies that survive long tasks
- Wire agents into external systems over protocols such as MCP
- Build guardrails, approval steps and audit trails around agent actions
- Evaluate agent reliability on tasks rather than on single responses
